 ROB MWANDIA RUNS

TEASER

In June of 2018, during the peak of Texas heat, Rob Mwandia took off running from College Station. His end destination - Las Vegas. Rob planned on running 45 marathons in 45 days to raise funds for a music festival in his home town. He launched a kickstarter, took off running, and suffered injuries and complications from the very beginning. Then, about halfway through the run, Rob had an emergency surgery to remove his appendix. A week later, he continued his journey, and after 45 days of running, he arrived in Las Vegas.

Texas A&M Forest Service is the lead agency for wildfire response in the state of Texas. But the process of responding to and suppressing wildland fire, especially in a state as large and diverse as Texas, is incredibly complex. Watch this special episode that showcases that process through the lens of handcrew chief, Dustin Morris, detailing the intricacies of wildfire response.

Bonfire Memorial - 25 Year Anniversary

This piece was a tribute film produced to show at Kyle Field during the football game before the 25 year anniversary. It aired before a hundred thousand people and received hundreds of thousands of views on instagram. I wrote the script, directed the Voice Over artist and the memorial video shoot, and edited this video to completion.

the makings of a moon tree

In February of 2021, Texas A&M Forest Service planted a Moon Tree in the TAMU Gardens. I sat down with Astronaut and Colonel Michael Fossum to discuss this momentous occassion, and the Apollo 14 Mission that carried seeds into space, to the moon, and back home to be planted at various points across the world (including the White House, the Emperor's Palace in Japan, etc.).
